State Farm Insurance is a new sponsor of our team and several other Halton robotics teams in the region. State Farm has been serving Canadians since 1938. They are the leading Property and Casualty insurer in North America with more than 80 Million policyholders. In addition to providing affordable car insurance rates, State Farm has more than 500 Canadian agents and 1,700 employees providing insurance and financial services including mutual funds, life insurance, vehicle loans, critical illness, disability, home and auto insurance to their customers. The State farm youth advisory board generously donated $100,000 to the Halton District School Board to expand their robotics programs from kindergarten to grade 12. This was one of the five grants awarded to youth-focused programs across the country.
Pathways is currently one of our robotics team’s strongest financial sponsor and has helped MMRambotics maintain our budget. They also support the Halton region’s Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM), Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) and other school to career programs. The Pathways team aims to give parents and students as much information as they can about the different post-secondary destinations available to students in Halton. They want to make sure that students in Halton receive the information necessary to make an informed decision about their career pathway, whether it is an Apprenticeship, College, Community, University or Workplace pathway.
The Halton District School Board has supported the MMRambotics team since the robotics program was first brought to MM Robinson. Their assistance has allowed our team to grow and succeed.
The Halton Learning Foundation has helped MMRambobotics reach the status where we are today. Halton Learning Foundation raises charitable funds to remove economic barriers to learning for students in need and support school initiatives. The Halton Learning Foundation is incorporated as a registered charity and as an independent body collaborating with the Halton District School Board.
